Creation Note: In today’s society, the gathering of people is a common phenomenon. Under such circumstances, tensions and resonances are constantly changing every moment. Power is always in motion and has no clear boundaries. It is only constrained by the environment, which in turn is governed by its components such as industry, science, biology, and time.
This installation highlights the gathering and movement of people in public spaces. The repetitive effect showcases the permanence of these gatherings, and the video conveys the tension brought by the crowds. These gatherings reflect people’s helplessness in the face of social norms: resonance, flow, repetition and permanence. In the video, we notice that humans possess multiple traits, which define themselves and intensify the tension or resonance with others who make up the crowd.
Four projectors, four screens and twenty actors. The actors continuously moved across the screens of the four projectors without a break.
