The work originated from a natural small waterfall in a mountain village &#8211; its abundant water sound is the most primitive chant of the earth. We select the locally abundant bamboo, taking advantage of its natural bamboo nodes and hollow structure. We carefully drill holes on one side of it and introduce the mountain spring water into it.<br>The water no longer rushes down directly but, after being sorted and blocked by the holes in the bamboo tube, is broken down into countless fine streams. When it falls again, it forms a crystal-clear bamboo water curtain. The water strikes the bamboo joints, making a sound like a chirping pendant. The fine streams converge, forming their own rhythm. The original roar was transformed into a richly layered pattering and tinkling sound, as if nature were playing its own melody through this man-made object.<br>The work, with the most simple &#8220;adapting to the trend&#8221;, embodies the wisdom of &#8220;going with the flow&#8221; in Chinese philosophy.
