Its inspiration comes from the ancient &#8220;Big Dipper Well&#8221; pattern in rural Zhejiang &#8211; a traditional wisdom that maps constellations onto the earth&#8217;s surface and connects celestial phenomena with survival.<br>In the paddy fields of Heshan Village, we worked with local farmers to dig out the shape of the Big Dipper and diverted water into the ditches. When the water is full, star maps emerge in the paddy fields. Only when viewed from the air can this hidden celestial phenomenon be fully revealed.<br>The work reconstructs the ancient cosmic picture of &#8220;observing phenomena from the sky and taking examples from the earth&#8221; with the most simple labor (excavation) and the most natural medium (water and soil).
